r/news – AMC to price movie theater tickets based on where you sit

I’m a huge fan of assigned seating.

Pricing based on it…well, they’re almost there: If they set the maximum price to what it currently is—with discounts for the crappier seats—then that might be an interesting experiment.

Since they’re doing that but also increasing the price for the better seats, I’m fine with continuing to just watch most movies at home and not going to any theater unless it’s an Alamo.
